40 Years Ago Today

I worked on my writing a lot today and before I go to bed I just want to mark this day.  Forty years ago today was the twentieth day of June, of the year Nineteen Hundred Eighty Three.  On that day I was dropped off  to live at The Illinois Masonic Children’s Home.

I was ten years old. I was broken-hearted and scared. It had only been about nine months since my Mom had died.

Sometimes when I look back at my life it seems surreal. But it is real and as I write and speak I believe God is healing me along the way. He is so good to me!

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”
‭‭1 John 3:1
