Citizen of Heaven

Forty four years ago (9/9/1982) my mom passed away. On the 40th Anniversary of her death the Lord blessed us with my wonderful granddaughter. I’m battle weary, but didn’t want to go to bed without saying that the Lord gives beauty for ashes. Jesus heals broken hearts in the most unexpected and wonderful ways.

Below are a few pics of my mom and I.

I arranged these photos to keep the privacy of my siblings. The picture on the left is me, my mom with my sister and brother. It was taken by Mary Brown right before My Mom went into the hospital for the last time.On the right is my mom at Christmas, all three of us kids are with her. Despite being so sick she had so much joy. The photo on the far right is me on my 2nd birthday.

Below is a mixed media mosaic that I made for an art show a few years back. Along with the description I left with it.

  • Description: I’ve been giving my testimony since February 13, 2013.  This one act of obedience repeated over and over has been a tool that the Lord has used to transform me into the woman I am today. I dream of traveling, giving my testimony and bringing the message that God heals broken hearts.  I don’t own an airstream trailer but I do keep a picture of one on my blog. When life is difficult that picture reminds me that this earth is not my home, I’m just passing through.  My citizenship is in Heaven.  My ongoing testimony can be found on my blog “An Orphan’s Battleground”I’m working towards becoming a published author, and when the time is right the Lord will make it happen. Good night!
